June 2025 Talking Points: Rescue Dog Turns Rescuer

Last year, Barbara and Joe Stengel adopted a dog named Polly from Joybound People & Pets in Walnut Creek. It was Polly’s second placement at the animal rescue organization after she was first taken in by a Rossmoor resident in 2015 (the woman passed away nearly nine years later). Now in her older years, Polly is almost deaf but loves her home with the Stengels.
